Base Metal Color Information
Differently colored gold is as pure and real as yellow gold. Pure gold being too soft is mixed with alloys to gives it the durability it requires to be made into jewellery. Sometimes the percentage of alloy is changed to impart a different color to gold, as a result the shade of yellow gold not only varies but we also have white gold, pink or rose gold and other such fancy colors.
